Saints and Sinners Ball 2017

The fourth annual Radio 105.7 Saints and Sinners Ball was Saturday, October 28. The Struts headlined with support from Mondo Cozmo.

I had seen The Struts live before and was blown away. Flashback to 80s glam rock. Incredible energy and even better music. I can’t wait to see them again.

Mondo Cozmo, on the other hand, I had never heard of. They were a great surprise. They came out decked out in dresses and wigs and rocked. It really is my favorite when I go to a concert not knowing the band and leave excited to go home and find and listen to more of their music.

I’m back!

Wow I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I’ve posted something! I’m sorry! We got into the busy season at work so I haven’t done a whole lot on my own but I have been shooting some lately so I am going to use the next week or so to catch you up. I’ll start with a couple from a sweet baby shower at the end of August.

**This has been sitting in my drafts for 2 weeks apparently. Sorry!**

I saved the best for last. The sunrises and sunsets while on the Carnival Breeze. A couple of these photos caused me to be late to dinner but they were so worth it. God is one heck of an artist in general but His sunrises and sunsets are probably my favorite.

Entertainment

Now for the entertainment on the ship (man I’m drawing this cruise thing out . . . it was only a week). Most of the entertainment for my family was drinking and being obnoxious but there were fantastic shows and performers onboard. I did not take any photos of the comedy shows mainly because I was crying I was laughing so hard most of the time.

Let me set this picture up. I realize it’s not a great photo. We got to the show just in time to see the end. I’m not even sure what’s going on. It was a musical medley of the 60s and 70s I believe. I just know they all had the same outfit on (each a different color) and after watching it for 5 minutes I decided I was way too young to enjoy it and was really happy when it was over. But I only went to 2 shows that week so I feel like I need to include it.

Piano Bar: He was fantastic and quite funny. FYI the hair is a wig for the “80s hair band” song he was playing at the time.

Variety Show: That dude could juggle! He was also great at improv.

Activities – Slides and Chess: So there was a whole water park, ping pong tables, a miniature golf course, a foosball table, a ropes course, and basketball court also but when we played golf and foosball my camera died. You would think as a photographer I would know better. Apparently on vacation I forget simple things like making sure the GoPro is charged for the evening festivities. But to my credit that was the only time I forgot to charge it.

I love my GoPro. And I love this angle.

Towel Animals

It was a cruise. The first photos I have to share are of the towel animals. It’s always fun to come back to your stateroom at the end of the night to find a new friend made out of the fresh towels. Not only were they great in our room but the display on the Lido deck one morning was pretty fantastic.

     

He was definitely my favorite.

Dreaming of warmth

Ok. Georgia doesn’t really get that cold in the winter. But let’s get real, I’ve lived here my entire life. I’ve gotten used to the fact that the minute a snow flurry is in view schools and offices shut down (if they don’t things go bad). If the thermometer goes below freezing we are suffering. The colder it gets the more I start thinking about January 25. In 13 days I will be on a boat to the Western Caribbean! This is what I will be dreaming about every night until I leave.

I took this photo in Florida but it gets the point across. Give me sun, palm trees and sand!

Work in Progress

I currently have many different websites through 3 or 4 website builders (all with different addresses, logins, and passwords) that I’ve been trying to get it down to one. Shopping around and trying to find the best and cheapest way is a pain… Still haven’t figured it out yet but I have narrowed it down to two, so there is some progress! So far, I like this theme and set up. What do you think? Got any thoughts or suggestions for me?

P.S. I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) and New Years! I decided not to bring my expensive camera on our New Years Eve festivities so here’s a GoPro picture of us before we went out. Nice looking group if I do say so myself.

Music Midtown-The Strypes

Music Midtown 2014

Last year I went to Music Midtown for the first time to see Imagine Dragons. They were absolutely amazing and when I saw the lineup for 2014 I decided to go again.

I got my camera in and managed to get a few good shots through the sea of heads and arms in the massive crowds. Next year I’m going to try to get a press pass so I can shoot from the photo pit.
