Dreaming of warmth

Ok. Georgia doesn’t really get that cold in the winter. But let’s get real, I’ve lived here my entire life. I’ve gotten used to the fact that the minute a snow flurry is in view schools and offices shut down (if they don’t things go bad). If the thermometer goes below freezing we are suffering. The colder it gets the more I start thinking about January 25. In 13 days I will be on a boat to the Western Caribbean! This is what I will be dreaming about every night until I leave.

I took this photo in Florida but it gets the point across. Give me sun, palm trees and sand!

Justine and Eric

Justine and Eric are very good friends of mine and are getting married in March. Since they currently live in Wisconsin it took us 6 months after their engagement to find the time for engagement photos. But here they are! They are a beautiful couple inside and out and I had a blast shooting them. I can’t wait for their small beach wedding!

A Resolution

I think in order to be a photographer (with a job) you need to know how to shoot and edit not just still photography but video also. So this year, I resolve to make more videos. It’s January 4th and I’ve already made more than last year (one, ha)! So here it is.

I had my GoPro camera with me during the pre-gaming festivities on New Year’s Eve and decided to make a short video. I had more clips that included beer pong dancing, making of the punch, dogs licking up spilled champagne and an impromptu Avett Brothers acoustic sing along but they didn’t quite fit together cohesively. Enjoy.

Work in Progress

I currently have many different websites through 3 or 4 website builders (all with different addresses, logins, and passwords) that I’ve been trying to get it down to one. Shopping around and trying to find the best and cheapest way is a pain… Still haven’t figured it out yet but I have narrowed it down to two, so there is some progress! So far, I like this theme and set up. What do you think? Got any thoughts or suggestions for me?

P.S. I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) and New Years! I decided not to bring my expensive camera on our New Years Eve festivities so here’s a GoPro picture of us before we went out. Nice looking group if I do say so myself.
