Nancy-Leigh and Thomas McIntyre

Events

Friends of mine got married this weekend in Statesboro. It was strange to go to a wedding and not have to take pictures of it. I decided that I would just sit back and enjoy the ceremony without taking my camera out. At the reception I got a few good pictures of the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance and the cake cutting (There was a vote, Thomas lost).

It was a beautiful wedding and I had a great time watching two friends commit themselves to each other for the rest of their lives and catching up with those I hadn’t seen since graduating. Congratulations Nancy-Leigh and Thomas!

Hockey season

Events

Hockey season started up again! I’m back in the Gwinnett Arena shooting for the Gwinnett Gladiators occasionally. This was the ECHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers when they were still around but now they are the affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes. Check them out at http://www.gwinnettgladiators.com/site/default.asp

So first home game of the season was a win for the team, however for me I was quite rusty. Shooting hockey is one hard sport to shoot in general, but shooting with lights that take 3 seconds to recycle is uber difficult. Especially when you aren’t used to using them. It’s amazing how long 3 seconds feels when you’re trying to get good photo of a goal that takes about a half second to score.

So here are the Gwinnett Gladiators vs. Wheeling Nailers on Oct. 24, 2014. First home game of the 2014-2015 season.
